Mother, Son and Daughter Found Guilty of Paul Scott’s Murder in Blackburn

A jury returned murder verdicts after a 13-day trial focused on a planned revenge attack.

  • Before the verdicts, Donlin had admitted manslaughter and possessing a knife, Maxwell had pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and Clegg had denied all charges.
  • Police recovered two knives from the flat and a third from Maxwell’s car, Maxwell and Clegg were also convicted of possessing a knife, and sentencing is set for March 20.
