- Playstack and developer Cold Symmetry confirmed the full launch date and opened pre-orders on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, locking Mortal Shell II for release on August 20, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
- The standard digital edition is priced at $49.99 while the Devout Edition costs $59.99 and grants up to 72 hours of early access plus the Obsidian skin set for all eight playable Shells.
- PlayStation 5 players can pre-order a Revered physical edition that includes the game disc, SteelBook case, an art book, fine art prints, and exclusive pre-order skins.
- Cold Symmetry markets the game as a standalone sequel with faster, stamina-free combat, deeper weapon upgrade systems, ranged options, an interconnected compact open world and more than 60 dungeons.
- A playable Steam demo/open beta remains available now, and the August timing was chosen in part to avoid the busy September release window and give the sequel clearer space to find an audience.
