- Publisher Playstack and developer Cold Symmetry released the open console beta on Friday, July 31, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S using the same build already on Steam.
- The test delivers the Prologue and an early section of the open world, representing roughly the first three hours of the game.
- Players who reach the in-game area Marrow Keep in the beta will unlock the option to skip the Prologue in the final release.
- Playing the beta for more than 30 minutes unlocks the Flayed Harbinger cosmetic for use at launch while most in-beta save progress does not fully carry over to the final game.
- The beta follows strong pre-release interest—reported 500,000+ Steam downloads and a sold-out Revered physical edition—and will help test core systems such as the series’ signature Shells mechanic ahead of the worldwide 20 August release.
