Overview
- The collection received a major patch Tuesday that enables cross-platform online play across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
- Two-on-two tag-team online matches are now supported in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Arcade and SNES), Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PS1), and Mortal Kombat 4 (Arcade).
- Variable Refresh Rate is now a user option on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 in handheld mode, and PC to better match original arcade frame timing.
- Players can pick a stage before online matches, the room connection strength setting now works as intended, Kombat Kard replay deletions were fixed, and localization was updated.
- Online play for Mortal Kombat 4 and cross-platform play for Mortal Kombat Trilogy are not supported on the original Switch, and Digital Eclipse says this is the last set of major features as it shifts to ongoing fixes.
