- At his 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted panchayat, municipality and corporation members from across Kerala, including representatives from Thiruvananthapuram.
- Modi said Kerala is fed up with the LDF and UDF and urged the representatives to deepen public connect, advance good governance and improve ease of living.
- He assured the delegation that he will visit Kerala to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, which they said lifted their confidence.
- The meeting was part of a three-day ‘BJP 4 Viksit Keralam’ programme designed to build administrative and governance skills for implementing central schemes.
- The BJP is spotlighting its control of the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation after winning 50 of 101 wards with support from one Independent, and the delegation also visited Parliament to meet C. P. Radhakrishnan and S. Jaishankar.
