  • Participating by video from Guwahati after heavy rain, the Prime Minister launched Kokrajhar works worth over ₹4,570 crore, including Assam Mala 3.0, six BTC road projects, and a POH railway workshop.
  • He flagged off three trains—Kamakhya–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, Guwahati–New Jalpaiguri Express, and Narangi–Agartala Express—to strengthen links between the Northeast, West Bengal and southern India.

  • On March 14 in Silchar, plans include the Bhoomi Poojan for the ₹22,860-crore ShillongSilchar greenfield corridor, an elevated NH-306 segment, and a new College of Agriculture at Patharkandi.
  • Later in Kolkata, Modi is scheduled to unveil roughly ₹18,680 crore of works spanning over 420 km of national highways, port upgrades at Haldia and Khidderpore, rail improvements, and the PuruliaAnand Vihar Terminal Express.
