  • Officers discovered the woman's fishing pole and other belongings on a cliff on the north side of Lake Pueblo near Yucca Flats Campground, which focused search efforts on the waters below.
  • CPW requested its Marine Evidence Recovery Team around 4 p.m., and searchers used sonar and an underwater remotely operated vehicle to scan the rocky, steep shoreline.
  • Shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, officers located the woman's body and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered it from the water.
  • The Pueblo County Coroner's Office has not released the woman's name or an official cause of death and is expected to complete identification and determine the cause before public release.
