Missing Karnataka Woman Found Safe in Kunigal, Police Say

Police traced her to Kunigal with an acquaintance after reviewing phone records.

Authorities located 29-year-old Priyanka in Kunigal on Saturday night with a person known to her and brought both to Hassan on Sunday for inquiry.
Hassan SP Shubhanwita said Priyanka is safe and preliminary information indicates she did not want to stay with her husband.
Police used phone call data and CCTV footage from multiple locations to confirm her travel to Kunigal.
Earlier, her Aadhaar card, clothes and slippers were recovered near a tank at Kalkere, triggering a large search with dog squad and forensic teams.
A zero FIR was first filed in Belur before transfer to Arehalli for a regular FIR, and the SP said claims of initial police reluctance to register the case will be reviewed.
