MINI Revives One and Expands Paul Smith Edition to Petrol Coopers

The moves pair a lower-cost 1.6L petrol entry with designer-led Cooper variants to broaden buyer appeal as MINI manages petrol demand alongside its electric lineup.

Overview

  • MINI announced on Thursday that the One returns as the brand’s entry-level petrol model with UK pricing starting at £24,735 to sit below the Cooper C.
  • The new One uses a detuned turbocharged 1.6‑litre petrol engine rated at 121 bhp and will do 0–62 mph in 9.3 seconds, offering a cheaper, simpler specification than Cooper trims.
  • MINI said production of the One will start in July and that customer deliveries are expected in the third quarter or Autumn 2026.
  • The Paul Smith Edition is being extended from electric MINIs to petrol Cooper C and Cooper S across three-door, five-door and convertible bodies, with UK prices from £31,285 for the Cooper C and £32,335 for the Cooper S.
  • MINI will include Mini Connected for the first four years on Level 2 and Level 3 specified cars and the combined updates aim to give cost-conscious buyers and style-focused customers clearer, regionally timed choices.
