Milwaukee Woman Arrested in Wauwatosa Road Rage Shooting on Capitol Drive

Investigators recovered a handgun tied to the case.

Overview

  • A road rage encounter on Capitol Drive near I-41 turned violent Tuesday when a sedan driver opened fire on a pickup.
  • Police say the sedan hit construction cones and sideswiped the truck during a merge, then shot the tailgate as both vehicles continued west.
  • At a red light at North 124th Street, the driver fired a second shot into the pickup’s front passenger door.
  • The pickup driver was not hurt and called 911 as the shooter drove off.
  • Detectives later arrested a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, served a search warrant at her home, and seized a handgun believed to be the weapon, with charges to be referred to county prosecutors.
