Milwaukee Finalizes St. Patrick’s Parade Route, Closures and Towing Plan

Community groups will spotlight Irish heritage, with attendees urged to use MCTS, The Hop or rideshare.

Overview

  • The 58th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off at noon Saturday, March 14, in downtown Milwaukee.
  • The route begins at West Wisconsin Avenue and MLK Drive and ends at Water Street and Highland Avenue, passing Plankinton, Kilbourn and Juneau.
  • Street closures roll out in phases: staging area at 10 a.m., full route at 11:45 a.m. until about 2 p.m., and de-staging around 1 p.m. until about 2:30 p.m.
  • Vehicles on affected streets will be towed starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, with temporary no-parking signs posted along the route.
  • Participants include the Ancient Order of Hibernians, MSOE engineering teams and nonprofit Billy’s Posse, while $5 parking is offered at The Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
