Milo Snack Bars Recalled in Australia and Singapore Over Black Rubber Contamination

Singapore's food agency is enforcing a targeted recall of two imported batches following Australia's broader safety alert.

Overview

  • Food Standards Australia and New Zealand announced a recall after black rubber was found in Milo Original and Milo Dipped snack bars.
  • The Australian notice covers multiple batches with best-before dates at the end of August 2026 and products sold at ALDI, Coles, Woolworths, IGA and online across NSW, QLD, VIC, TAS, SA and WA.
  • In Singapore, the SFA directed Nestle Singapore to recall Milo Snack Bar Original 210g batch 5324TD15 and Milo Snack Bar Dipped 270g batch 5322TD15, both expiring Aug 31, 2026.
  • Authorities advise consumers not to eat the implicated bars, to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, and to seek medical advice if concerned.
  • Nestlé said a contract manufacturer had an equipment failure that dislodged small pieces of black rubber during production.
