Microsoft Brings Voice, Vision and Agentic Copilot to All Windows 11 PCs in Staged Rollout

The expansion starts in Insider previews with opt-in controls and added permission prompts as Microsoft courts upgraders after ending Windows 10 support.

Overview

  • A Copilot app update (1.25095.161) is reaching Windows Insiders that answers settings questions with direct links to the correct Windows pages.
  • "Hey, Copilot" hands-free activation is rolling out, and Microsoft says voice users engage with the app about twice as much as typists.
  • Copilot Vision adds screen context and a Highlights feature that points to on‑screen controls, with access explicitly invoked and limited to selected apps.
  • Copilot Actions debuts in Copilot Labs as an agent that executes multi‑step tasks locally in a contained Agent Workspace, remains off by default, and can request extra consent for important steps.
  • Connectors let Copilot use data from OneDrive, Outlook, Gmail, and Google Drive/Calendar with permission, as Microsoft also tests an Ask Copilot taskbar, the Manus agent, Gaming Copilot, and a Zoom Click‑to‑Do for Copilot+ PCs.
