Microsoft-Backed Space and Time Launches Dreamspace on Coinbase’s Base
The tool turns plain-language prompts into audited smart contracts with live front ends.
Overview
- Dreamspace, which launched Thursday on Coinbase’s Base Layer 2, lets people turn a plain description into an audited smart contract and a live app they own and deploy.
- The platform defaults to Base for sub-cent fees and near-instant settlement, though it can also deploy to any chain that runs the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
- Microsoft is backing the rollout through its M12 venture arm, and Space and Time built Dreamspace with Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI while hosting front ends on Azure.
- Space and Time secures app data using zero-knowledge proofs and a decentralized network of database validators to verify and index information.
- In beta since August 2025, users created more than 34,000 apps and about 140,000 students tried the tool, including programs in Indonesia that set up AI labs and coursework.
