Michoacán Prosecutors Renew Appeal to Identify Three Men Found Dead in 2017–2018

Officials released clothing descriptions plus a dental crown marker to guide relatives who may recognize the men.

Overview

  • The state prosecutor’s office asked for public help to identify three men found in separate cases in 2017 and 2018 across Salvador Escalante, Morelia–Quiroga, and Tarímbaro.
  • In the Morelia–Quiroga junction case from January 2018, investigators listed a height of about 1.65 meters and clothing that included two sweaters, a striped long‑sleeve shirt, jeans, and black sneakers.
  • For the Tarímbaro case from June 2018, the office shared full facial features for a man estimated at 25 to 30 years old, along with camo green shorts, a black T‑shirt, a brown belt, and black tennis shoes.
  • In the Salvador Escalante case from November 2017, officials noted an estimated age of 40 to 50, a height near 1.72 meters, and a distinctive yellow metal crown on the upper left lateral incisor.
  • Prosecutors said decomposition limited many physical identifiers, so they urged anyone with tips to contact the Specialized Unit to help establish the men’s identities and notify families.
