Michigan Secures Commitment From Utah Tight End Christian Hanshaw

Overview

• Christian Hanshaw, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound three-star tight end from American Fork, verbally committed to Michigan after visiting for Victor’s Weekend on Sunday, June 21.
• Hanshaw said he will serve a two-year LDS mission after high school and enroll at Michigan in January 2029, delaying his on-campus arrival but preserving his pledge.
• He cited a long-standing personal connection with tight ends coach Freddie Whittingham and family ties to BYU as a key reason for choosing Michigan over offers from programs such as UCLA, USC, Oregon, Utah and Florida.
