Michigan City Police Name 14-Year-Old Victim in Fatal Shooting

Detectives asked residents to share tips or home video to help identify suspects.

The shooting that struck the 300 block of West 11th Street on Friday around 4:30 p.m. left 14-year-old Devin Porter with a life-threatening wound.
Porter was taken to Franciscan Health Michigan City, where he was pronounced dead.
Michigan City police said Monday they are interviewing witnesses, working to identify suspects, and searching for surveillance video and other evidence.
Detectives Kay Pliske and Brock Moore urged residents to share tips or footage directly or through Crime Stoppers, which accepts anonymous reports.
No arrests have been announced as the homicide investigation continues in the residential area near Wabash Street.
