Overview
- During the final 30 minutes of PFT Live, co-host Michael Holley became visibly unwell, swayed in his chair and then fainted while broadcasting from his home studio.
- The show immediately cut to commercial so producers could try to reach Holley’s family and get help, and Holley began moving within roughly a minute.
- PFT Live and host Mike Florio said Holley was overheated and had not eaten or drunk anything before the two-hour show, and Holley later required five stitches for a knee cut sustained in the fall.
- ProFootballTalk exercised editorial control by having footage of the collapse removed, deciding not to re-air that episode on Peacock or NBCSN, and asking that circulated clips be taken down.
- As a direct result of the incident, PFT Live will now keep emergency-contact information for all contributors appearing from home, a change intended to speed response to future remote medical emergencies.
