Micah Parsons Endorses Packers’ Draft Logic, Early-Season Status Unclear

His post signals buy-in as Green Bay drafts depth without a first-round pick.

Overview

  • Parsons, who shared GM Brian Gutekunst’s quote on Instagram on Thursday, wrote “Facts” to back the team’s draft approach.
  • Gutekunst said the Packers “got better a whole year earlier” by trading two future firsts and defensive tackle Kenny Clark for Parsons, which kept Green Bay out of Round 1 this year.
  • Without a first-rounder, Green Bay used Day 2 to select South Carolina corner Brandon Cisse at No. 52 and Missouri defensive tackle Chris McClellan at No. 77.
  • Parsons is rehabbing a 2025 ACL tear and, based on March remarks from coach Matt LaFleur and media reports, may miss the start of the 2026 season.
  • During Thursday’s draft coverage, he quipped “Welcome to my world” about his Dallas exit and told Cowboys rookie Caleb Downs he is “the guy.”
