Party leaders moved to remove Abel Carvajal following FIU’s confirmation of a criminal probe into the leaked WhatsApp messages.

  • Carvajal acknowledged creating the chat, said he did not see many of the worst messages and declined to resign as bipartisan condemnation mounted, including from Sen. Rick Scott and local Republican officials.
