Overview
- Deputies responding to a 3:30 p.m. Thursday 911 call about a gun at a park near SW 216th Street and 113th Avenue located four teens at SW 222nd Street and 112nd Avenue in the Goulds area.
- During the confrontation, a deputy fired and a round grazed a 15-year-old boy’s ankle, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took him to a hospital in stable condition.
- The sheriff’s office said a handgun with an extended magazine was recovered near where the boy was hit, though relatives at the scene disputed that a gun was involved.
