MG Sets April 27 Majestor Price Reveal for New Flagship SUV

MG is pitching it as a diesel 4x4 packed with premium features to court Fortuner buyers.

  • MG Motor India set April 27 for the Majestor price reveal after moving the launch from April 20.
  • The full-size SUV replaces the Gloster as the brand’s ICE flagship, with prices expected around Rs 40–50 lakh ex-showroom to take on the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
  • It uses a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel rated near 215 hp and 478.5 Nm with an 8-speed auto, plus 4x2 or 4x4 with low range and three locking differentials.
  • Cabin highlights include dual large displays, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker JBL system, six airbags, Level 2 driver assists and a 360-degree camera, with connected features on MG’s i-Smart platform built with Reliance Jio.
  • Sharp and Savvy trims come in 4x2 and 4x4 with 6- or 7-seat layouts, and pre-booked buyers are promised a 5-year unlimited-km warranty, roadside help, five free services and an ICICI Emeralde credit card offer.
