- The Majestor, which began production on Monday, May 25, has moved into local manufacture at JSW MG Motor India’s Halol plant ahead of dealer deliveries.
- MG launched the model on Wednesday, May 27, offering two top trims priced ex‑showroom at Rs 40.99 lakh for the 4x2 and Rs 44.99 lakh for the 4x4.
- Power comes from a 2.0‑litre twin‑turbo diesel making about 215–215.5 PS and 478.5–479 Nm, paired to an 8‑speed automatic with 4x2 and 4x4 options.
- The 4x4 version adds serious off‑road hardware including front, centre and rear differential locks, 10 terrain modes, crawl control, 219 mm ground clearance and 810 mm wading;
- MG has loaded the Majestor with luxury and tech — dual 12.3‑inch screens, panoramic sunroof, ventilated/massaging seats, Level‑2 ADAS and an MG Shield ownership package with warranty, assistance and an assured buyback offer — and now faces the task of converting value and features into buyer trust against established rivals.
