Overview
- The registration campaign, which began Monday, runs through April 30 at 2,059 Bienestar modules open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday across the country.
- Thursday, April 16 is set for people whose first surname starts with G, Friday covers H to L, and make-up days are Saturday, April 18 for A to L and Saturday, April 25 for M to Z.
- April enrollment is limited to adults 85 and older, who must bring an official ID, a certified CURP, a proof of address no older than six months, and a phone number.
- Officials say the new card lets patients get care at IMSS, IMSS-Bienestar or ISSSTE regardless of affiliation, and outlets report it will also serve as an ID with a digital version.
- The rollout is staged, with emergency and critical services shared from January 2027, specialized care added in the second half of 2027, and full prescriptions, specialty visits and hospital stays expanded in 2028.
