Mexico Reports 189,830 Repatriations Under 'México Te Abraza' in One-Year Update

Officials highlight a 24/7, interagency reintegration system that has delivered more than one million services to returning nationals.

  • After peaking in late 2025, returns eased to 14,730 in January and 14,191 in February 2026, with 8,428 recorded from March 1–18.
  • Of the returns logged since Jan. 20, 2025, 154,072 occurred by land and 35,758 by air.
  • Reception runs at 11 northern border points plus the Villahermosa and Tapachula airports, supported by eight centers across seven states with capacity for about 1,600 people daily.
  • Authorities report more than one million services delivered, including over 93,000 certified documents, roughly 115,000 cash-transfer cards, about 382,000 hot meals and over 57,000 medical visits.
  • More than 98,600 returnees were affiliated to IMSS under a humanitarian decree and 14,228 secured formal jobs, while Segob’s command center reports no major incidents.
