Overview
- The government said the Vive Saludable, Vive Feliz drive evaluated more than 10.8 million students across 83,000 public primary schools during the 2025–2026 school year, producing over eight million medical attentions in more than 4,500 clinics.
- More than 700 brigades made up of roughly 8,000 specialists from IMSS, IMSS‑Bienestar, ISSSTE, the Health Secretariat and SNDIF carried out weight, height, visual and oral exams and promoted healthy habits in urban, rural and indigenous schools.
- Visual health emerged as a priority: officials reported over 217,000 specialized follow‑up eye exams, about 145,000 free pairs of glasses already delivered and a process under way to provide some 1.5 million additional pairs.
