Mexico Debars Two Federal Suppliers for False Documents in Bids

Publication in the federal gazette makes the penalties binding to deter false filings.

Overview

  • The Anti-Corruption Secretariat said the sanctions are now in the Diario Oficial and the firms appear in the national sanctions directory.
  • Gas Azul de Nogales, notified March 3, received a three-month ban and a 183,308-peso fine for fake calibration certificates, an inspection report, an evaluation report, and invoices in a 2024 fuel tender.
  • Servicios de Limpieza Inmobiliaria y Urbana, notified March 17, drew a three-month ban and a 158,396-peso fine for false paperwork tied to waste-management plan filings in a Semarnat cleaning-services bid.
  • Internal control offices in the Defense Ministry and in Semarnat issued the rulings under legal criteria that weigh the severity of the offense.
  • Both companies can appeal the decisions, and the secretariat says it will defend the measures as part of its push for cleaner public purchasing.
