- Between January and late June 2026 Mexico City received roughly double its historical precipitation for that period, accumulating about 443–454 millimeters compared with a long‑term average near 225 millimeters.
- Storms between June 30 and the morning of July 1 produced an estimated 15.6–16.4 million cubic meters of runoff, forcing emergency action across the capital.
- Segiagua’s Operativo Tlaloque mobilized between 115 and 156 personnel and 41–52 specialized units, including emergency pumps, hydropneumatic machines and Hércules teams, to clear drains and relieve flooding.
- Short‑duration intensities drove much of the damage: monitoring stations recorded bursts such as 24.25 mm in 30 minutes at López Mateos and 23 mm in 30 minutes at San Juan Aragón, which can overload urban drainage and cause flash floods.
