Mexico City Raids Multi-Level Peralvillo Site, Seizes 150 Tons of Suspected Stolen Auto Parts

The property remains sealed under judicial order as prosecutors evaluate the evidence for potential charges.

Overview

  • Intelligence teams from the SSC and FGJ executed a court-authorized search overnight at a property on Enrique Granados in Ex-Hipódromo de Peralvillo, Cuauhtémoc.
  • Authorities say the site operated as a subdivided hotel-style complex with a ground floor and three additional levels containing 42 rooms used to store parts.
  • Police documented license plates, doors, headlights, windshields, rims, tires, trunk lids, fascia panels and partially dismantled vehicles among the recovered items.
  • Roughly 150 tons of suspected stolen components were placed at the disposal of the Ministerio Público and the building was sealed under police guard.
  • No arrests were reported, and SEDENA, the National Guard and SEMAR provided perimeter support under protocols that avoided the use of force.
