Overview
- The Fiscalía General de Justicia de la Ciudad de México detained Suzanne “N” (Suzanne Faugier) and transferred her to the Santa Martha Acatitla women’s prison to face charges for the alleged use of false documents.
- Investigators say the case centers on a mutuo (loan contract), a convenio modificatorio (addendum) and a pagaré that together are reported to have created more than 2 million pesos in obligations in journalist Adela Micha’s name.
- The office says interviews, grafoscopía and documentoscopía expert studies, video review and bank-information analysis produced the evidence a judge used to issue an arrest warrant.
- Authorities located and detained Suzanne “N” in Morelos, which took place on the night of June 4 and resulted in her being placed at the disposal of judicial authorities in Mexico City.
- A separate probe opened in December 2024 also links her to alleged unauthorized receipts tied to Micha’s professional activities and to a separate administration-fraud process while officials stress the presumption of innocence as investigations continue.
