Mexico City Metro Shuts Three Line 2 Stations Monday, With San Antonio Abad Closing Indefinitely From Tuesday

  • On Monday, March 16, San Antonio Abad, Chabacano, and Viaducto will be closed all day on Line 2 for improvement works.
  • The Metro will run on a holiday schedule on Monday across the network, operating from 07:00 to 24:00.
  • During the closure, Line 2 trains will operate in two circuits—Tasqueña to Xola and Cuatro Caminos to Pino Suárez—with RTP buses linking Xola and Pino Suárez.
  • Starting Tuesday, March 17, San Antonio Abad will remain closed until further notice as part of the current rehabilitation stage.
  • Chabacano and Viaducto will close from 22:00 Monday to Friday, from 20:00 on Saturdays, and all day on Sundays, under a broader Line 2 modernization program.
