Overview
- Authorities applied the standard Hoy No Circula program on June 10, 11 and 12 because monitoring agencies reported air quality below levels that trigger a contingency.
- On June 10 the restriction targeted red-sticker vehicles (plate endings 3 and 4) with holograms 1 or 2 and ran from 05:00 to 22:00.
- On June 11 the rule covered green-sticker vehicles (plate endings 1 and 2) with holograms 1 or 2, and on June 12 it applied to blue-sticker vehicles (plate endings 9 and 0) with holograms 1 or 2.
- Exemptions include holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid cars with those stickers, public transport, emergency vehicles, motorcycles and disability plates, while violations carry fines of 20–30 UMA (about 2,346–3,519 pesos) and possible impoundment.
- Officials kept the normal schedule despite heavy traffic from the World Cup inauguration and protests, and agencies said they will continue hourly monitoring to decide if any contingency escalation is needed.
