Overview
- Mexico City's public security office said Tuesday, March 31 will bring marches, rallies and bike rides that could slow traffic and close streets in busy areas.
- Two marches are set for the afternoon: the National Coalition of Trans Women will go from the Monument to the Revolution to the Zócalo at 2 p.m., followed by Libres y Combativas from the Zócalo to Plaza Tlaxcoaque and the Chabacano Metro station at 3 p.m.
- Other gatherings will cluster in Cuauhtémoc and Iztacalco, including cannabis advocacy groups at Plaza Tlaxcoaque, the Hemiciclo a Juárez, the Monument to the Mother and under the Río Churubusco–Añil overpass.
- Police retirees and active officers plan to meet at Plaza de la Ciudadela, while additional groups schedule appearances at the Hemiciclo a Juárez and the Senate building.
- Officials recommend leaving early, using alternate routes and checking the SSC agenda and the OVIAL traffic account for real-time updates, a routine practice the city uses to manage protests at frequent sites like the Zócalo and Monument to the Revolution.
