Overview
- The STC took the San Antonio Abad–Tasqueña segment out of service starting at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and will keep it closed through the start of operations on Monday, May 25.
- Train service is limited to Pino Suárez–Cuatro Caminos in both directions while crews carry out intensive rehabilitation work on the southern surface section.
- Red de Transporte de Pasajeros buses are providing free alternate surface service with stops placed at the exterior of each closed station to mirror the metro route.
- Users reported crowding and longer waits at open stations as staff implemented access controls and the city warned riders to leave earlier and plan alternative routes.
- Authorities link the concentrated weekend works to World Cup preparations and nearby surface projects such as Calzada de Tlalpan, and they say full service will resume with Monday operations.
