Meta Rolls Out Three Self‑Branded AI Smart Glasses at Lower Prices

Meta presents a cheaper, style-focused glasses line to scale wearables toward consumer AR.

Overview

  • Meta introduced three self-branded models called Adventurer, Fury and Starfire that start at $299 for Adventurer and Fury and $399 for the Kylie Jenner collaboration Starfire.
  • The frames were designed by Meta and built by EssilorLuxottica with both companies’ marks on the temples and packaging to speed manufacturing and distribution.
  • All three glasses include built-in cameras, speakers, photo and video capture, and ship preinstalled with Meta’s on-device Muse Spark AI for tasks like translation and scene understanding.
  • Mark Zuckerberg said the company is focused on making glasses people will actually wear by balancing fashion, comfort and functionality and that he is closely involved in product design.
  • Meta plans to expand styles and brand collaborations, may offer camera-less models for calls and media, and expects the cheaper, fashion-forward approach to widen consumer adoption and pressure rivals such as Snap and Google.
