- Meta announced an upgraded Meta Account that will replace Accounts Center through an automatic update over the next year.
- People can choose one password for Meta apps and devices or switch to passkeys that use a fingerprint, face scan, or a device password to sign in.
- More settings now live in one place, covering the password, two-factor authentication, and the email on the account, while app-specific controls still stay inside each app.
- Parents gain a Family Center to manage teens’ Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta Horizon settings from one dashboard.
- WhatsApp linking remains optional, and personal messages and calls on WhatsApp stay end-to-end encrypted.
