Meta Adds Creator Assistant to Facebook, Expands AI Translations

Meta intends to keep creators on Facebook by embedding a conversational, account-aware AI into their dashboard.

Overview

  • Meta introduced Creator Assistant on Facebook, which launched Thursday and places a conversational, account-specific AI inside the Professional Dashboard to answer follow-up questions about performance.
  • The assistant analyzes a creator’s audience, engagement trends and post performance to give tailored recommendations, suggest content ideas and draft responses based on the creator’s own account data.
  • Creator Assistant and the translation updates are initially rolling out to creators in the United States, Canada and India with plans to add features and expand access in the coming months.
  • Meta is expanding AI-powered Reels translations to add Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, French, Thai and Vietnamese and says more than 500 million people now watch AI-translated videos on Facebook each week.
  • Meta tested the tools with a small group of creators and improved handling of slang and dialects, and the company expects the built-in AI to reduce creators’ reliance on third-party tools and increase posting and global reach.
