Met Releases CCTV Images to Identify Witnesses After Kilburn Street Stabbing

Detectives say identifying people in the footage could produce eyewitness accounts and evidence needed to advance the murder inquiry.

Overview

  • Malakai Ferguson-Ramson, 20, was fatally stabbed on Ashmore Road in Kilburn shortly after 8:50pm on Tuesday, 26 May.
  • On 31 May the Metropolitan Police published CCTV images and video showing dozens of people around Ashmore Road and Drayford Close and asked the public to help identify them.
  • Officers have arrested two men in the days after the attack; a 21-year-old remains in custody on suspicion of murder and a 42-year-old arrested for conspiracy to murder has been released on bail.
  • Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller said those pictured are believed to be witnesses and asked anyone who recognises them to call 101 quoting reference 8418/26MAY or to report anonymously to Crimestoppers or via the Met’s Major Incident Public Portal.
  • Video and CCTV show bystanders fleeing in daylight, which police say may hide crucial evidence such as mobile-phone footage or eyewitness testimony that could help charge suspects and bring clarity for the victim’s family.
