Met Police Launch Murder Inquiry After Suleyman Nuh, 25, Dies Following Camden Stabbing

Detectives from the Major Investigation Team are seeking witness footage following increased patrols in West Hampstead.

Overview

  • Police were called at 4.27pm on 29 January to Alvanley Gardens, where officers arrived within eight minutes to find Nuh with serious injuries.
  • He was stabilised with help from passersby and taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, then died on 9 February.
  • A 21-year-old was arrested the day after the attack on suspicion of attempted murder and has been charged in connection with the incident.
  • The Met says the attack is believed to be isolated with no information indicating a racial motive, and local patrols have been strengthened.
