Overview
- Daniel Boakye, 21, fled police custody at Lewisham Hospital at about 15:05 on Sunday, 15 February, after receiving medical treatment and leaving the building despite officers giving chase.
- The Metropolitan Police issued a public appeal, describing him as black, of medium height and slim build, last seen in grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket, and urged anyone with information to call 999 quoting CAD4005/15FEB or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
- It is his second escape in a week after absconding from West Middlesex University Hospital on 10 February before being found and arrested at an address in Thamesmead on 11 February.
