- Phoenix announced Monday that it converted Marta Suarez from short-term deals to a nondevelopmental contract for the remainder of the 2026 WNBA season.
- Suarez reached the league after being picked 16th in April, traded on draft night to Golden State, waived on May 2, and then joining Phoenix on a developmental deal on May 6.
- Phoenix released Suarez on July 9 and used three seven-day contracts to keep evaluating her before the final seven-day expired on Aug. 2 and the team signed her for the rest of the year.
