Local authorities activated an emergency plan after AEMET escalated coastal risk to its highest level.

  • Majorca recorded its heaviest snowfall of the winter, with flakes down to about 800 metres in the Tramuntana range and additional showers and small hail possible.
  • Lanzarote reported calima with degraded air quality, and officials advised sensitive people to remain indoors and keep windows closed until dust levels improve.
  • Model projections flagged a two‑week risk of very high rainfall for La Palma, parts of Tenerife and Madeira, with totals up to 300 mm on La Palma and 270 mm on Madeira reported by a meteorologist.
