MediaTek Launches Dimensity 7500 With Arm C1 Cores and New NPU

MediaTek says the 4nm chip is meant to move AI tasks like speech transcription and contextual replies onto midrange phones to boost features and efficiency.

Overview

  • MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 7500 on May 29, 2026, a 4nm eight‑core SoC using four Arm C1 Pro cores up to 2.6GHz and four C1 Nano cores up to 2.0GHz.
  • The chip pairs an Arm Mali‑G625 MC2 GPU with LPDDR5 6400Mbps RAM support and dual‑lane UFS 3.1 storage for upper‑midrange performance.
  • MediaTek upgraded its neural engine to the NPU 850 and says it enables on‑device features such as real‑time speech‑to‑text, text‑to‑speech, contextual replies and notification summarization.
  • The platform adds the Imagiq 1050 ISP with support for up to 200MP sensors and 4K HDR 10‑bit capture, plus 144Hz display support, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and a Release‑17 5G modem.
  • MediaTek provides vendor performance uplifts versus the Dimensity 7400 but those figures await independent benchmarks, and the 7500 is positioned to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 series as OEMs prepare device announcements.
