Medchal Court Jails Four Relatives for Life in 2021 Suraram Murder

Overview

• The II Additional District and Sessions Judge in Medchal convicted Jarpati Maisaiah, Jarpati Gangaraju alias Gangulu, Jarpati Yadamma and Markandeya Manoj Kumar alias Chintu alias Shiva.
• They were found guilty under IPC Sections 302, 364 and 342 read with 34, with fines of ₹1,000, ₹500 and ₹500 imposed on the respective counts.
• The case began with an August 12, 2021 complaint after late-night calls reported an assault, and the victim was discovered at a Suraram home in Dayanand Nagar.
