Overview

  • McDonald's, which announced the update Thursday, will add a $4 breakfast deal and $5–$6 lunch and dinner bundles starting April 21 at participating U.S. locations.
  • The simplified McValue menu standardizes at least 10 items priced under $3 for all dayparts, with half focused on breakfast to make morning orders cheaper and clearer.
  • Items on the under-$3 list include Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns, and a medium coffee, plus McChicken, McDouble, 4-piece McNuggets, small fries, and a medium soft drink.
  • Select favorites get extra-low promotional prices at launch, with the Sausage McMuffin at $1.50 and the McDouble at $2.50.
  • Franchisees broadly back the plan and most restaurants will take part, though local owners set prices, in a move that extends McDonald's value efforts since 2024 and mirrors rival chains' low-price menus.
