Overview
- The Mumbai Cricket Association will unveil the Ravi Shastri Stand at Wankhede Stadium, with the ceremony set for Thursday, April 9.
- The Level 1 stand below the press box will bear Shastri’s name in recognition of his service as player, captain, coach and commentator.
- Gates No. 3, 5 and 6 will be dedicated as the Dilip Sardesai, Diana Edulji and Eknath Solkar gates.
- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will attend, along with MCA president Ajinkya Naik and members of the cricket fraternity.
- The MCA Apex Council approved the plan on February 27, continuing a tradition that already honors greats such as Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar.
