Mazda Shows CX-6e EV in Bangkok With 484 km Range and 195 kW Fast Charging

A Changan tie-up is speeding Mazda's EV rollout in Southeast Asia with the 6e now priced in Thailand.

Overview

  • The CX-6e, which appeared Tuesday at Bangkok's auto show, uses a rear motor with 255 hp and a 78 kWh LFP battery rated up to 484 km on the WLTP test.
  • Mazda says DC fast charging peaks at 195 kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes, while 11 kW AC charging needs roughly 8.5 hours for a full charge.
  • Built on Deepal's S07 from Mazda's Changan joint venture, the export‑market CX-6e is a pure battery EV and is sized to take on the Tesla Model Y.
  • Mazda Thailand set the 6e liftback at 1,169,000 baht for the Premium trim and 1,199,000 baht for the Exclusive, signaling how Mazda plans to price these China-built EVs against key rivals.
  • An executive floated the Deepal E07 SUV‑ute as a potential Mazda pickup candidate, though he stressed it is a personal view and said the team is not studying such a model now.
