Mazda Confirms China-Built CX-6e Electric SUV for Australia in 2026

European specs point to a 190 kW rear motor paired with a 78 kWh LFP battery for about 483 km WLTP range, with local pricing to be announced.

Overview

  • Mazda Australia says the CX-6e will reach showrooms in 2026, with final local specifications and pricing to be detailed closer to launch.
  • The vehicle is manufactured in China through Mazda’s joint venture with Changan and is closely related to the Deepal S07 platform mate.
  • Outside China the model is EV-only with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive layout rated at 190 kW and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds.
  • WLTP range is listed at roughly 483–484 km from an LFP battery around 78 kWh, with DC fast charging up to 195 kW for a 10–80% top-up in a claimed 24 minutes and 11 kW AC charging.
  • The interior adopts a 26-inch display spanning the dash with a head-up display in place of a traditional cluster, and available features include 21-inch wheels, digital mirrors and a 23-speaker audio system as it targets rivals such as the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7.
