Overview
- The Office for Product Safety and Standards says the items fail General Product Safety Regulations 2005 due to rough or misfitted poppers that could cut or scrape infants.
- The recall covers seven product lines identified by codes C321632, C321634, C321623, C331713, C321633, C321625 and C321624.
- The garments were sold between July 13 and October 17, 2025, and have been removed from sale.
- Shoppers are instructed to stop using the products immediately and return them to any Matalan store for a full refund, with no proof of purchase required.
- Matalan says the action is limited to the listed items, reported as manufactured in India, and the retailer has issued an apology.
