Overview
- MasterCraft announced at Crest Marine’s dealer meeting that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be standard on select 2027 Crest Conquest and Caribbean models and all new Balise models, with the first factory-compatible boats due to arrive next month.
- Savvy Navvy released a CarPlay-compatible app worldwide that works with any compatible CarPlay display, including aftermarket marine head units, and is available to customers immediately.
- Through CarPlay, Savvy Navvy will show nautical charts in 2D/3D and satellite views, live GPS tracking, smart routing, bathymetry, live weather and nearby boat traffic on the helm display.
- MasterCraft will include a limited Savvy Navvy Premium subscription with the factory installations, while owners who do not buy a factory unit can still use the Savvy Navvy CarPlay app on compatible aftermarket displays.
- The move extends in‑vehicle infotainment into boating by pairing an OEM factory install with a marine-focused third‑party service, giving boaters seamless trip planning and raising the prospect of wider CarPlay adoption across marine electronics.
